The West End Library, one of the three members of the federated Union County Library System, offers public access to a wide range of materials, programs, and services to residents of Hartley Township and surrounding communities.
Located at 45 Ball Park Road, the library is part of the Laurel Run Activity Complex that also includes the “Field of Dreams” ball park and the Hartley Township Recreation and Youth Center.py
Activities and events offered by the West End Library include summer reading programs for all ages, weekly story hours and craft programs for children during the school year, and programs throughout the year for various ages on diverse subjects such as wildlife, hobbies, and nutrition. TumbleBooks Library(For ages 1 through elementary school) is an amazing collection of 300 animated talking picture books and 40 chapter books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they’ll love. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic book which you can read, or have read to you.
